Urban Mystic

The simplest description – a Christian mystic practises companionship and friendship with God as well as the presence of God. Christian mysticism is the disciplined pursuit of a relationship with God.

Traditionally mystics are pictured as loners and ascetics or monastics, with spirituality viewed as withdrawing from day-to-day living, family and working life. An urban mystic, in contrast, is a person who seeks to pursue God through entering more deeply into their key relationships.

PS. Follow the link if you want to know why I don’t use the customary “God” and rather speak about Godde. I’m perfectly comfortable using “God” and see not reason not to switch between the two at my whim.
